The Console Quarterly No. 07 · Curated in Australia Est. MMXXII
Home / StudioSection 05 · pp. 34–39

From the Studio.

Vedorian began as a shared frustration between friends across Sydney and Perth: the coverage we read treated Australia as an afterthought, and treated games as a feed to be scrolled. We wanted a publication — something set with care, and kept.

The Vedorian studio
The masthead

Local context, no recycled hype.

We're console-only and proud of it. That focus lets us go deeper — every plate, catalogue entry and verdict is grounded in the reality of playing here, from AEST launch timing to recommended Australian pricing.

  • i.Independence over access — our perspectives are not for sale.
  • ii.Real hours over trailers — we judge from genuine play.
  • iii.Clarity over jargon — specifications explained in plain terms.
Our tenets

What we hold to.

01

The work over the noise

We cover console gaming the way one covers film or design — slowly, in full, and with a bias toward the piece itself.

02

A publication, not a feed

Fewer, better pieces set with care. No endless scroll, no filler between issues, no chasing the algorithm.

03

Written from here

Every figure and date is read in an Australian context — because that is where our readers press play.
